Apologies in the delay of the second newsletter, it’s been a very busy few months here at Bushbabies! We had a great summer and despite the lack of continuous sunshine we really enjoyed the summer sessions, thank you to all those who came! It was lovely to have so much support from lots of our regulars and to meet some new Bushbabies!!
We have also been very excited by the release of our first book, The Woodland Adventure Handbook. So great to see all Adam’s hard work pay off. Thanks to everyone who has bought it, we wish you hours of messy fun!! We are really overwhelmed by all the support from all those who attend Bushbabies and also local businesses.
Huge thank you to Stanley and Ramona on Bishy Road in York, who have made an amazing window display, with little trees and children, if you get chance go and have a look it’s amazing. They also make lovely coffee and cakes, so while you are there!!
Adam was also in the York Press yesterday which was great! They did a full page spread on him and advertised the book. Below is the link for anyone who wants to have a read. York Press Article
I have been working hard to establish links with local charities and we are running a session at half term to raise money for a little boy in York who has cancer. We are hoping this will be a lovely surprise for him, as all his school friends will be there and they will be having pizza! All proceeds from the session will go into a fund in case he needs specialist treatment abroad.
We have also been working with the Local Authority and are looking to bring Bushbabies into the lives of looked after children, all very exciting!
We also ran a session for Lollipop this summer that was a huge success. Lollipop is a fantastic charity that supports young people with hearing loss and their families. We hope to work with them again in the future.
So now the weather is changing, it’s time to get wrapped up and brave the elements! Here at Bushbabies we love the change in seasons, it always adds a different element to our classes and really helps children to develop an awareness of the cycles of nature, the changing of colours and the differences of the landscape. For this reason we are running some of our weekly sessions in the park right through the year and are open all year round for birthday parties!
We have a Frozen special running in Harrogate on December 5th at 1pm. There are places still available on this session, if you would like to attend, you can book through the website.
Finally we really welcome your feedback! If you have anything you would like to suggest or comment on we would really appreciate it! Maybe you have a great idea for a session that Adam could run, or you know a great charity that we could work with. Or maybe you have some areas you think we could improve on? Anything at all, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you again for all of your support and we look forward to seeing you soon.
