SCHOOLS TRIPS

Throughout the years, Adam has worked extensively with nursery, primary and secondary schools, both in mainstream education, SEN and SCN.

He has provided weekly programmes, that allow the children to access the woodland year-round, benefitting from developing a relationship with the natural world. He has also provided many adventure days for the end of term and educational visits, that can be tailored to the school curriculum.

This is the best place to come, to relax, educate and inspire all minds both young and old. We recommend a trip to us, for a totally unique time that can be organised to fit the requirements and needs of each school, whether it’s a one-off trip or a weekly programme.

If the woods are too far to come, don't worry, we can come to you! We have event shelters, portable stoves and equipment, to bring the excitement of woodland adventures to your setting no matter how small.

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the day today.  The children absolutely loved it and were buzzing when they went out to parents.  They said it was their favourite school trip ever (and they came last year, too, so you’ve even trumped yourselves!!)
Adam, you are great with the children, the activities are spot on and time just flies while we are there!
Thanks for taking the time out to make up new activities for our topic.  It really complemented what we have done at school.
Looking forward to next year already 😉

Mr Roper - Scarcroft School

"Our school have been working with The Woodland Adventure Company for the past 5 years. They have provided an outstanding high quality outdoor experience, both at their woodland and at our school. They have catered for a wide range of special needs children working hard to overcome challenges and barriers to learning and adapting on the spot when needed. The enthusiasm and commitment to our pupils is exceptional and these adventures have become an integral part of our curriculum. It has been a magical journey to see children develop over time, becoming more confident and resilient, whilst developing essential life skills. A real highlight for me this year was when Adam sent a group of 20 children (who have good woodland experience) some with quite complex needs, off into the woods for a hiding game.  It was incredible to see them all navigate their way back safely to reach the final tree

Having such freedom safely is a skill that is not always possible for our pupils to practise. Woodland Adventure Company is highly recommended and has benefited our pupils immeasurably. "

Mrs Lilley

"Just spent a fantastic two days at the Woodland Adventure Company...all of the pupils in both our Eyfs/Ks1 and Ks2 classes had a great time building dens, making bows and arrows, filtering water, tracking trolls, making bog babies and firing rockets! And the popcorn, marshmallows and game involving the water pistol were a big hit too! Huge thanks to Adam for making it two days to remember. Would highly recommend "

Mrs Pipes

"All the children loved going to the…wood…, from the youngest reception child to the older Year 6 children. It really engaged them in their environment and the frozen conditions were great for the children to explore. Many of the children had never had the chance to do such activities as bridge building, den building, fairy hunting and making willow bows and arrows to mention but a few. I will definitely prioritise my school budget to use you again!"

Mrs Rogers

We have been working with Adam from the Woodland Adventure Company for 2 years. In that time he has led different year groups of children in outdoor learning, which has both inspired them and the staff working with them. The children are always enthused and engrossed, leaving the sessions with a big smile on their faces. Anything we ask of him he can adapt to suit our curriculum. He has also been a great support, offering advice and leading training days to further develop our confidence and professional development in outdoor learning.
